Rahul you’d be a much better person if you didn’t know how to read and write – said sister Marie Curie
Of course, her name isn’t Marie curie but let’s keep the old lady anonymous OK?
A Christian nun sees a sixth standard ‘disabled’ student lying without even flinching.
Her first thought
We are educating him for (almost) free and he is using that education as a tool for his destructive endeavors
Exactly!
The old lady had no appreciation for my talents.
Looking back, I wonder with a smile –
Would I have been anywhere close to where I am today, dreaming of changing the world if I didn’t know how to read and write?
Point?
Just because someone doesn’t fit into your picture of ideal behavior right now doesn’t mean you can decide that they deserve to have a limited shunted future.
And stem their forever.
If only people were a little more tolerant of those who are different and a little more flexible about the definition of ideal behavior
Thankfully, I switched school (in 8th standard) before they could actually decide to kick me out.
Who knows what would’ve happened if I got kicked out of school on charges of bullying.
Nah! I think I would’ve been even more awesome!
My message to old sister Marie Curie –
Lady!
I’m not sure if you’re still alive, since you were so fond of Jesus.
Either way,
You have really inspired me in some ways, and that inspiration remains with me to this day.
And I friggin love you for that.
But what you said back then was completely fucking wrong!
